The tasha is a popular folk instrument of the kettle drum
variety. It is characterised by a very shallow metel shell. The
lacing is sometimes of rawhide, but in the urban areas, turnbuckle
(screw system) tuning is common. It is played with drumsticks. The tasha is very popular in marriage procession bands. |
